About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide high-quality general paediatric and neonatal care
- Participate in the Consultant of the Week (CoW) rotation
- Cover twilight shifts and night rotas as part of the clinical schedule
- Conduct outpatient clinics, including general and specialist clinics
- Perform safeguarding medicals for acute cases
- Participate in emergency cover, clinical governance, and service development
Requirements
- Full registration and licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
- Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Paediatrics (or within 6 months of interview)
- Relevant postgraduate qualifications and Fellowship of a Royal College (e.g., FRCPCH)
- Strong background in general paediatrics and neonatology
- Practical skills and experience in acute paediatric care and safeguarding
