Consultant, Obstetrics and Gynecology

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive obstetric and gynecological care, including antenatal, intrapartum, and postnatal management
• Manage high-risk pregnancies and complex gynecological conditions in line with best clinical practices
• Perform a wide range of surgical procedures, including minimally invasive and open gynecological surgeries
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Contribute to departmental development, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
• Participate in on-call rotations and emergency coverage as required
• Support teaching, mentoring, and supervision of junior medical staff
• Maintain accurate clinical documentation in compliance with JCI and DOH standards

Requirements

• Medical degree with specialization in Obstetrics & Gynecology
• Recognized Board Certification (e.g., Arab Board, Western Board, or equivalent Tier 1 qualification)
• Minimum of 5–7 years of post-specialization experience at Consultant level
• Eligibility for DOH Consultant licensure
• Strong clinical, communication, and leadership skills

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven expertise in managing high-risk obstetrics cases
