About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide specialized care to newborns in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU)
- Diagnose and treat premature babies, infants with respiratory distress, and congenital abnormalities
- Monitor and provide medical interventions to stabilize critically ill newborns
- Interpret and analyze diagnostic tests, including X-rays and blood tests
- Collaborate with multi-disciplinary teams to ensure holistic patient care
- Educate parents and families on newborn care and post-discharge instructions
- Maintain accurate medical records and document patient progress
- Stay updated with the latest medical advancements in the field of neonatology
Requirements
- Medical degree from an accredited institution
- Specialist training in Neonatology and/or Pediatric Critical Care Medicine
- Minimum of 3 years of experience as a Consultant NICU in a reputable healthcare facility
- Valid license to practice in Saudi Arabia
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively under pressure in a fast-paced environment
