Consultant Neurosurgeon

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage a full spectrum of neurosurgical conditions, including tumors, trauma, spine disorders, and vascular lesions
• Perform complex neurosurgical procedures using microsurgical, endoscopic, and minimally invasive techniques
• Lead multidisciplinary discussions with neurology, ICU, oncology, radiology, and rehabilitation teams
• Oversee pre-operative evaluation, surgical planning, and post-operative follow-up
• Ensure compliance with international standards for patient safety and clinical quality
• Participate in clinical governance, audits, and service improvement initiatives
• Mentor and support the development of residents, fellows, and allied health professionals

Requirements

• CCT / FRCS (Neurosurgery) or American Board Certification
• 8–10 years of post-specialty training experience in neurosurgery
• Proven experience working in high-acuity tertiary or academic medical centers
• Proficiency with advanced technologies including neuronavigation and intraoperative imaging
• Eligibility for a DHA Consultant License

Preferred Qualifications

• Subspecialty interest in Neuro-oncology, Spine surgery, or Neurovascular surgery
• Expertise in functional neurosurgery or minimally invasive techniques
