Consultant Neonatologist

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive neonatal care for premature and critically ill newborns within the NICU setting
• Manage high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation, ensuring immediate stabilisation and advanced life support
• Diagnose and treat neonatal conditions, including respiratory distress, sepsis, and congenital disorders
• Perform and supervise neonatal procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and ventilation management
• Develop and implement individualised neonatal care plans and collaborate with multidisciplinary teams
• Provide parent counselling and education regarding neonatal conditions and treatment plans
• Participate in clinical governance, NICU quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs

Requirements

• Minimum 3+ years of experience post specialist or board certification
• Recognized specialist qualification such as American Board of Pediatrics, UK CCT, MRCPCH, FRCPCH, European Board Certification, Royal College Certification, Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, or FCPS
• Eligibility for DHA, DOH, or MOH license conversion
