About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide comprehensive neonatal care for premature and critically ill newborns within a Level III/IV NICU setting
- Manage high-risk deliveries and neonatal resuscitation, ensuring immediate stabilization and advanced life support
- Diagnose and treat neonatal conditions including respiratory distress, sepsis, and congenital disorders
- Perform and supervise neonatal procedures such as intubation, central line placement, and ventilation management
- Develop individualized neonatal care plans and collaborate with obstetricians and multidisciplinary teams
- Provide parent counseling and education regarding neonatal conditions and long-term outcomes
- Participate in clinical governance, quality improvement initiatives, and patient safety programs
Requirements
- Minimum 3+ years of experience post-specialist or board certification
- Board certification in one of the following: American Board of Pediatrics, UK CCT / MRCPCH / FRCPCH, European Board, Royal College (Canada), Australian Fellowship, Arab Board, or FCPS
- Eligibility for DHA / DOH / MOH license conversion
- Proven expertise in managing high-acuity neonatal cases in a tertiary care environment
