Consultant Maternal and Fetal Medicine

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive maternal and fetal medicine consultation services for high-risk pregnancies
• Diagnose and manage maternal medical disorders complicating pregnancy
• Perform and interpret advanced obstetric ultrasound scans, including fetal anomaly scans, Doppler studies, and growth scans
• Conduct prenatal diagnostic and therapeutic procedures where applicable
• Develop individualized treatment and delivery plans for high-risk obstetric patients
• Collaborate with neonatologists, obstetricians, and multidisciplinary teams for coordinated patient care
• Monitor and manage antenatal, intrapartum, and postpartum complications
• Maintain accurate medical records and ensure compliance with UAE healthcare regulations
• Participate in clinical audits and quality improvement initiatives
• Supervise and support junior medical staff

Requirements

• Subspecialty Certification in Maternal & Fetal Medicine from a recognized board or institution
• Valid UAE medical license to practice as a Consultant (DHA/MOH/SHA)
• Strong clinical and diagnostic skills in maternal and fetal medicine
• Expertise in advanced obstetric ultrasound imaging
