Consultant in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation

Responsibilities

• Conduct comprehensive assessments of patients with physical impairments, musculoskeletal injuries, and neurological conditions
• Develop and implement individualized rehabilitation plans to restore mobility and independence
• Utilize therapeutic modalities including exercise therapy, manual therapy, and electrotherapy
• Lead and collaborate with a multidisciplinary team of physiotherapists, occupational therapists, and nurses
• Provide patient and family education on injury prevention and long-term wellness
• Monitor and document patient progress, adjusting treatment plans to achieve optimal outcomes
• Ensure compliance with clinical governance and evidence-based rehabilitation protocols

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS/MD or equivalent) from an accredited institution
• Board Certification in Physical Medicine & Rehabilitation (PM&R)
• Minimum 5 years of post-certification experience
• Strong knowledge of current rehabilitation technologies and best practices
• Excellent communication and patient-counselling skills
• Fluency in English; Arabic proficiency is an advantage
