Consultant in Paediatric Otolaryngology (ENT)

Responsibilities

• Provide consultant-level specialist care in paediatric otolaryngology
• Deliver outpatient clinics, theatre sessions, and inpatient care for paediatric ENT patients
• Perform a range of paediatric ENT procedures in line with specialist expertise
• Participate in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings and contribute to shared decision-making
• Support the development and delivery of paediatric ENT pathways and services
• Participate in the ENT on-call rota
• Supervise, train, and support junior doctors and multidisciplinary team members
• Engage in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement initiatives
• Contribute to teaching, training, and educational programmes
• Undertake Supporting Professional Activities (SPA)

Requirements

• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC) with licence to practise
• Inclusion on the GMC Specialist Register in Otolaryngology (ENT)
• Evidence of subspecialty experience or fellowship training in Paediatric Otolaryngology
• Competence in core ENT procedures with a paediatric focus
• Experience working at Consultant level within ENT services
• Experience of multidisciplinary working and MDT participation
• Evidence of involvement in clinical governance, audit, and quality improvement
• Eligibility to work in the UK
