About the role
Responsibilities
- Lead and deliver a high-volume elective oral surgery service on a part-time basis
- Manage a broad caseload of NHS-referred patients including outpatient and minor surgical oral surgery
- Perform procedures such as tooth removal, root removal, impacted wisdom teeth extraction, and coronectomies
- Deliver treatment under local anaesthetic or LA with intravenous sedation
- Participate in audit, research, and service management
- Contribute to departmental and bi-monthly clinical governance meetings
Requirements
- GDC registration
- Position on the Specialist List or an Associate Specialist role with extensive experience
- Capability to deliver oral surgery procedures with LA
- Accreditation in IV sedation (having delivered 20 supervised cases) or willingness to train
- Experience requesting and interpreting small volume CBCTs
Preferred Qualifications
- Level two certificate in CBCT interpretation
