Consultant in Obstetrics and Gynaecology

Responsibilities

• Deliver high-quality care across antenatal, intrapartum, postnatal, and gynaecological services
• Manage antenatal and gynaecology outpatient clinics
• Provide labour ward cover and intrapartum care
• Perform theatre sessions for elective and emergency gynaecological procedures
• Participate in on-call rotas for obstetrics and gynaecology
• Engage in teaching, audit, and service development
• Lead on clinical guidelines, research, and quality improvement projects

Requirements

• Full registration and licence to practise with the General Medical Council (GMC)
• Certificate of Completion of Training (CCT) in Obstetrics and Gynaecology
• Relevant postgraduate qualifications (e.g., MRCOG/FRCOG)
• Experience managing routine and complex obstetric and gynaecological cases
• Commitment to clinical leadership and teamwork
