About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide specialist psychiatric care to children and adolescents within emergency department settings
- Conduct urgent assessments and formulate treatment and risk management plans
- Support the multidisciplinary team in delivering responsive mental health services
- Participate in clinical meetings and liaise with families and external agencies
- Maintain documentation in accordance with NHS standards
Requirements
- GMC registration
- Section 12 approval
- Approved Clinician status
- Experience in child and adolescent psychiatry, particularly in emergency or acute care settings
- Strong clinical, communication, and decision-making skills
