About the role
Responsibilities
- Provide expert clinical assessments and diagnoses for children and adolescents with complex mental health issues
- Lead and oversee the development of comprehensive treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
- Manage and support multidisciplinary teams including psychologists, social workers, and nurses
- Supervise and mentor junior staff and trainees
- Participate in regular MDT meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment strategies
- Engage in service development and quality improvement initiatives
Requirements
- Full GMC licence to practice
- 2 years experience in CAMHS as a specialist doctor or consultant level
- 6 years experience in Psychiatry
- 12 years experience in MBBS
- Section 12/RC approval is essential
Preferred Qualifications
- Approved clinician status
