Consultant in CAMHS Psychiatry

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical assessments and diagnoses for children and adolescents with complex mental health issues
• Lead and oversee the development of comprehensive treatment plans and therapeutic interventions
• Manage and support multidisciplinary teams, including psychologists, social workers, and nurses
• Supervise and mentor junior staff and trainees
• Participate in regular MDT meetings to discuss patient progress and adjust treatment strategies
• Contribute to service development and quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Full GMC licence to practice
• Previous experience in CAMHS
• Section 12 approved

Preferred Qualifications

• Approved clinician status
