Consultant in CAMHS Psychiatry

Responsibilities

• Conduct psychiatric assessments and formulate accurate diagnoses
• Prescribe appropriate pharmacological and non-pharmacological interventions
• Provide consultation and support to primary care providers and community mental health teams
• Participate in service development initiatives, quality improvement projects, and research activities

Requirements

• Full registration with the General Medical Council (GMC)
• Section 12 approval
• Expertise in assessment, diagnosis, and management of mental health disorders including CAMHS psychiatry
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
• Ability to work collaboratively within multidisciplinary teams
