Consultant ICU/Critical Care Medicine

Responsibilities

• Assess, diagnose, and manage critically ill adult patients in the ICU
• Provide advanced life support and management for medical, surgical, trauma, and sepsis cases
• Perform critical care procedures including intubation, central venous catheter insertion, and ventilator management
• Lead multidisciplinary ICU rounds and coordinate patient management plans
• Collaborate with emergency medicine, anesthesiology, surgery, and other specialties
• Supervise junior physicians, residents, and ICU staff
• Ensure compliance with ICU protocols, infection control, and patient safety standards
• Participate in rapid response teams and hospital emergency preparedness programs
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with MOH UAE regulations

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by MOH UAE
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Critical Care Medicine, Intensive Care, or Pulmonary & Critical Care
• Valid MOH UAE Consultant License or Eligibility Letter
• 5–7 years of post-board consultant experience in ICU/Critical Care within a tertiary care hospital
• ACLS certification

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in high-acuity tertiary care centers
• Exposure to ECMO, advanced hemodynamic monitoring, and critical care ultrasound
• Academic, teaching, or research experience
• Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced multicultural environment
