Consultant Hematologist Oncologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate, and manage patients with hematological disorders including anemia, leukemias, lymphomas, and multiple myeloma
• Assess and treat patients with solid tumors using evidence-based oncology practices
• Develop individualized treatment plans involving chemotherapy, immunotherapy, and targeted therapy
• Interpret diagnostic investigations such as bone marrow biopsies, pathology reports, and molecular testing
• Participate in multidisciplinary tumor boards and collaborate with surgeons, radiologists, and pathologists
• Monitor treatment response, manage complications, and provide palliative care
• Provide mentorship and supervision to junior physicians, residents, and nursing staff
• Contribute to clinical research, audits, and departmental quality improvement initiatives

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution
• Accredited specialty training in Internal Medicine
• Fellowship/Subspecialty training in Hematology Oncology
• Board Certification in Hematology, Medical Oncology, or Hematology-Oncology
• 3–5 years of post-board/fellowship experience as a Consultant
• Eligibility for DOH Abu Dhabi Consultant licensure
• Fluency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience working in tertiary care hospitals or comprehensive cancer centers
• Experience with stem cell transplantation programs
• Active participation in clinical trials and oncology research
• Expertise in precision medicine and molecular oncology
