Consultant Hematologist

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage hematologic conditions including anemia, leukemias, lymphomas, myeloma, and clotting disorders
• Oversee bone marrow biopsy procedures, transfusion protocols, and chemotherapy regimens
• Collaborate with oncology, pathology, and radiology teams for integrated patient care
• Provide consultative services to both inpatient and outpatient units
• Participate in tumor boards, clinical audits, and quality improvement initiatives
• Educate patients and families on disease management and treatment plans
• Contribute to academic teaching and CME programs

Requirements

• Board-certified in Hematology (e.g., American Board, Royal College, or equivalent)
• Valid DOH (HAAD) license or eligibility to practice in Abu Dhabi
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialization experience in a tertiary or academic hospital setting
• Proven expertise in both benign and malignant hematologic conditions
• Strong diagnostic, procedural, and communication skills
