Consultant General Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Perform a wide range of general surgical procedures, including both elective and emergency cases
• Evaluate patients, diagnose surgical conditions, and develop comprehensive treatment plans
• Lead preoperative and postoperative care in collaboration with nursing and allied health teams
• Contribute to surgical audits, quality improvement programs, and clinical governance
• Provide mentorship to junior surgeons and actively participate in CME initiatives
• Maintain detailed and accurate medical records in compliance with DOH standards

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree with completed specialty training in General Surgery
• Recognized board certification (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Arab Board, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of post-specialty experience, including consultant-level responsibility
• Fluency in both Arabic and English
• Eligibility for DOH (Department of Health—Abu Dhabi) Consultant license
