Consultant Gastroenterologist (Female)

Responsibilities

• Diagnose and manage diseases related to the gastrointestinal tract, liver, pancreas, and gallbladder
• Perform diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopic procedures including gastroscopy and colonoscopy
• Develop individualized treatment plans and monitor patient progress
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams including surgeons, radiologists, and dietitians
• Maintain accurate patient records and ensure compliance with DHA regulations and hospital protocols
• Educate patients and families regarding treatment plans, preventive care, and lifestyle modifications
• Participate in departmental meetings, quality improvement initiatives, and continuing medical education programs
• Supervise junior medical staff when required

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree recognized by DHA
• Board Certification or Fellowship in Gastroenterology
• DHA License or DHA Eligibility Letter as Consultant Gastroenterologist
• Minimum 5–7 years of post-specialization experience in a reputed hospital or healthcare facility
• Expertise in diagnostic and therapeutic endoscopy procedures
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills
• Fluency in English; Arabic or Hindi is an advantage

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience in managing IBS, IBD, GERD, liver diseases, and hepatology cases
• Ability to work effectively in a multicultural environment
• Patient-focused approach with strong clinical judgment
