Consultant – Flow Measurement/Metering Specialist

Responsibilities

• Conduct, witness, and assess metering and proving processes, including Field Prover calibration by Water-draw and Master Meter Prover methods.
• Witness and assess metering systems performance and troubleshoot measurement issues to identify root causes and recommend corrective actions.
• Evaluate and develop programs for verifying and calibrating related instrumentation such as temperature, pressure, and differential pressure.
• Calculate and assess uncertainty for metering systems and investigate situations resulting in apparent loss or gain.
• Stay updated on new technology developments in crude oil measurement to recommend accurate equipment.
• Liaise with production teams and stakeholders to identify system imbalances and assist in writing measurement standards, manuals, and project specifications.

Requirements

• Graduate Engineering Degree in Mechanical or Instrumentation Engineering.
• At least 20 years of proven experience in metering related measurement applications.
• Extensive experience with Orifice (AGA3, ISO5167), Positive Displacement (PD), Turbine, Ultrasonic, and Coriolis meters.
• Proficiency with various flow computers and knowledge of Automatic/Sampling Systems or In-Line densitometers.
• Experience with Automatic Tank Gauging Systems and various types of provers.
• Familiarity with Oil industry safety standards.
• Fluent in English (written and spoken).

Preferred Qualifications

• Knowledge of the Arabic language.
