Consultant Fetal Medicine

Responsibilities

• Diagnose, evaluate, and manage fetal abnormalities using advanced ultrasound and other diagnostic tools
• Provide consultation and counseling to parents-to-be, explaining findings and potential risks
• Review medical history, perform physical exams, and order appropriate diagnostic tests
• Discuss risks and benefits of various treatment options and provide clinical recommendations
• Coordinate with a multidisciplinary team to develop individualized patient care plans
• Conduct fetal interventions, including fetal blood transfusions, fetoscopic surgery, or intrauterine procedures
• Document patient progress and treatment plans accurately and in a timely manner
• Stay updated with the latest advancements in fetal medicine through conferences and workshops

Requirements

• Medical degree from a recognized institution
• Minimum 5 years of experience as a Consultant in Fetal Medicine within a reputable institution
• Mandatory Western education and/or training in a recognized healthcare system (USA, UK, Canada, or equivalent)
• Certification in Fetal Medicine from a recognized professional body
• Valid medical license to practice in the UAE
• Fluency in English; proficiency in Arabic is a plus
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills with the ability to work in a fast-paced environment
