Consultant Female Breast Surgeon

Responsibilities

• Lead the comprehensive management of benign and malignant breast disease, including clinical assessment and surgical planning
• Perform advanced oncoplastic breast surgery, including therapeutic mammoplasty and implant-based or autologous reconstruction
• Participate actively in multidisciplinary team (MDT) meetings with oncology, radiology, pathology, and plastic surgery
• Provide consultant-level clinical practice through outpatient clinics, perioperative care, and long-term follow-up
• Drive clinical governance and quality improvement through audits, M&M reviews, and pathway optimization
• Deliver empathetic, patient-centered, and culturally sensitive care
• Mentor and train junior doctors, nurses, and allied health professionals
• Contribute to clinical research and the expansion of breast services

Requirements

• Board-certified Consultant Breast/Oncoplastic or General Surgeon
• Fellowship training in Oncoplastic Breast Surgery
• 7–10 years of post-board certification experience in breast oncology and reconstruction
• Eligibility for DHA Consultant licensure
• Proven expertise in advanced oncoplastic techniques, including immediate reconstruction and symmetrisation
• Experience working within accredited breast units and multidisciplinary environments
