About the role

Responsibilities

  • Conduct wetland delineations using the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetlands Delineation Manual and applicable Regional Supplements
  • Document Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM) indicators and geophysical characteristics of waterbodies
  • Perform habitat assessments, environmental field surveys, and environmental constraints desktop analyses
  • Collect, review, and manage field data using sub-meter GPS and other data collection tools
  • Compile wetland delineation reports and support permit application materials
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary subject matter experts and interact with clients on environmental topics
  • Ensure all field and office activities comply with health, safety, and quality management standards

Requirements

  • BA/BS or Master’s degree in a natural science discipline (or equivalent experience)
  • 2+ years of professional experience, including at least two field seasons of wetland delineation
  • Proficiency with the 1987 Corps of Engineers Wetland Delineation Manual and Regional Supplements
  • Working knowledge of sub-meter GPS technologies, field data collection, and map interpretation (NWI, USGS, aerial imagery)
  • Ability to travel up to 75% for extended fieldwork in variable weather and challenging terrain
  • Valid driver's license and ability to operate a company vehicle
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills for preparing technical reports
  • Note: This position is not eligible for immigration sponsorship

Preferred Qualifications

  • Prior experience supporting permitting applications and environmental constraints analyses
  • Experience interacting directly with clients or supporting client-facing deliverables
  • Local or regional familiarity with projects in Texas and surrounding areas
