Consultant, Energy Strategy & Technology

Responsibilities

• Support energy clients through the energy transition and digital transformation by providing strategic, analytical, and technology-driven insights.
• Analyze Dutch and European energy-market, policy, and system developments.
• Assess renewable generation, flexibility, hydrogen, and green molecules in future energy-system scenarios.
• Define digitalization priorities, data opportunities, technology roadmaps, or target operating models.
• Develop business cases and implementation roadmaps for advanced technologies.
• Build analyses, models, dashboards, or visualizations using Excel, Power BI, Python, or SQL.
• Prepare client interviews, workshops, and stakeholder sessions, including the synthesis of findings.

Requirements

• MSc degree in energy science, sustainable energy technology, electrical or systems engineering, econometrics, data science, economics, business, or strategy (BSc with relevant consulting experience will also be considered).
• Strong analytical and quantitative skills, including data collection and structuring of insights.
• Proficiency in Excel and data analysis.
• Fluency in both Dutch and English (written and verbal).
• Genuine interest in the Dutch and European energy transition and technology consulting.
• Willingness to travel domestically and internationally up to 25%.

Preferred Qualifications

• Interest or experience in energy providers, TSOs, DSOs, utilities, or infrastructure operators.
• Exposure to grids, congestion, flexibility, offshore wind, or hydrogen.
• Experience with data visualization tools such as Power BI, Python, or SQL.
• Relevant thesis, internship, or research project linked to energy strategy or technology.
