Consultant Critical Care (Transplant)

Responsibilities

• Lead the ICU team in managing critically ill transplant patients, including pre-, intra-, and post-operative care
• Collaborate with transplant surgeons, nephrologists, hepatologists, and anesthetists to optimize patient outcomes
• Perform advanced procedures such as invasive monitoring, mechanical ventilation, renal replacement therapy, and hemodynamic support
• Ensure compliance with international best practices and DHA regulations
• Participate in clinical research, quality improvement initiatives, and training programs for junior staff
• Provide on-call support and consultations across critical care areas including ER and transplant units

Requirements

• Medical degree (MBBS or equivalent) with completed residency in Critical Care or Internal Medicine
• Fellowship or subspecialty training in Transplant ICU or Critical Care Medicine
• Board certification (e.g., UK CCT, American Board, Canadian FRCP, or equivalent)
• Minimum 5 years of post-fellowship experience in transplant-related ICU care
• Valid DHA Consultant license or eligibility
• Proficiency in English

Preferred Qualifications

• Proven experience in managing liver and kidney transplant patients
• Familiarity with advanced ICU technologies and EMR systems
• Interest in academic teaching or transplant-related research
• Proficiency in Arabic

Benefits

• Monthly salary of 80,000 - 90,000 AED
