Consultant Critical Care

Responsibilities

• Provide expert clinical care to critically ill patients in the ICU
• Conduct comprehensive assessments and develop personalized treatment plans
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary healthcare teams to ensure coordinated patient care
• Utilize advanced medical technologies and protocols to optimize outcomes
• Communicate effectively with patients' families regarding prognosis and treatment
• Lead clinical rounds and participate in departmental meetings
• Mentor and train junior medical staff and trainees
• Engage in clinical research and quality improvement activities
• Maintain accurate and up-to-date medical records in compliance with local regulations

Requirements

• Medical degree from an accredited institution
• Board certification in Critical Care Medicine
• Valid medical license to practice in Oman or willingness to obtain one
• Minimum of 5 years' experience in critical care medicine
• Extensive knowledge of ICU protocols, equipment, and critical care procedures
• Strong clinical judgment and ability to work effectively under pressure
• Excellent communication and teamwork abilities
• Fluency in English; Arabic language skills are an advantage
