Consultant Clinical Pathologist

Responsibilities

• Interpret and report complex hematopathology cases, including bone marrow biopsies, lymph node specimens, and peripheral blood disorders
• Correlate morphology with immunohistochemistry, flow cytometry, cytogenetics, and molecular findings to issue comprehensive diagnostic reports
• Provide expert consultative support to clinicians and participate in multidisciplinary case discussions
• Ensure compliance with laboratory quality standards, accreditation requirements, and patient safety protocols
• Contribute to the development, standardization, and continuous improvement of hematopathology diagnostic workflows
• Support teaching, mentoring, and professional development of junior medical or laboratory staff

Requirements

• Medical degree with recognized specialist certification in Hematopathology (CCT, CCST, American Board, or equivalent)
• Eligibility for licensure with the relevant UAE health authority
• 5–7 years of post-specialization experience in hematopathology, ideally in a tertiary care or reference laboratory setting
• Strong expertise in flow cytometry and molecular hematopathology
• Excellent diagnostic judgment, reporting ability, and communication skills
