Consultant Cardiologist

Responsibilities

• Evaluate, diagnose, and manage patients with acute and chronic cardiovascular diseases
• Conduct outpatient consultations and provide inpatient cardiac care
• Interpret ECGs, Echocardiograms, Holter monitoring, Stress Tests, and CT Coronary Angiography
• Manage conditions including hypertension, coronary artery disease, heart failure, and arrhythmias
• Respond to cardiac emergencies and participate in on-call duties
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure optimal patient outcomes
• Supervise and mentor junior physicians and allied healthcare professionals
• Maintain accurate electronic medical records and ensure compliance with Oman MOH regulations

Requirements

• MBBS or equivalent medical degree from a recognized institution
• MD/DNB in Internal Medicine or equivalent
• DM/DNB/Fellowship/CCT/Board Certification in Cardiology
• Valid Oman MOH License or eligibility for licensure
• 6–10 years of post-specialty experience, including experience as a Consultant Cardiologist
• Strong clinical expertise and proficiency in interpreting advanced cardiac diagnostic tests

Preferred Qualifications

• Additional fellowship in Interventional Cardiology, Electrophysiology, Heart Failure, or Cardiac Imaging
