Consultant Cardiac Anesthesiologist

Responsibilities

• Provide comprehensive anesthesia services for cardiac, thoracic, and major vascular surgical procedures.
• Administer general anesthesia for complex surgeries including CABG, valve surgeries, and congenital heart procedures.
• Deliver anesthesia support for interventional cardiology and structural heart procedures such as TAVI/TAVR and MitraClip.
• Perform and interpret intraoperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE) for surgical decision-making.
• Manage advanced invasive hemodynamic monitoring, including arterial lines and pulmonary artery catheters.
• Provide perioperative critical care management in collaboration with intensivists and cardiac surgeons.
• Respond to cardiac emergencies, including resuscitation and management of cardiogenic shock.
• Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to ensure coordinated patient care and safety.
• Maintain accurate medical documentation in compliance with DHA regulations.

Requirements

• Medical Degree (MBBS or equivalent) from a recognized institution.
• Completion of a recognized Residency in Anesthesiology.
• Fellowship or advanced subspecialty training in Cardiac Anesthesia.
• Board Certification in Anesthesiology.
• DHA License or eligibility for Consultant licensure in Dubai.
• Minimum of 8–10 years of post-specialization experience in Cardiac Anesthesia.
• Extensive experience in adult and pediatric cardiac surgeries and interventional procedures.

Preferred Qualifications

• Certification in Perioperative Transesophageal Echocardiography (TEE).
• Experience working in tertiary care hospitals with established cardiothoracic surgery programs.
