Construction/General Liability Associate Attorney

Responsibilities

• Independently manage cases in insurance defense, general liability, auto/transportation liability, and NYS Labor Law construction matters
• Partner with attorneys, team members, and seasoned Partners on high-impact legal projects
• Handle court appearances and depositions
• Engage closely with clients to deliver clear, timely updates and guidance

Requirements

• JD from an accredited law school
• Admitted to practice in the State of New York
• 4+ years of litigation experience with cases taken to mediation or trial
• Experience with insurance defense, premises liability, and general liability
• Superior analytical abilities
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills
• Ability to manage caseloads independently

Preferred Qualifications

• Understanding of NY Construction Law (NYS Labor Law 200, 240, 241)
• Experience with OSHA hearings
• Background with Corporation Counsel or District Attorney’s Office
• Familiarity with legal project management
