Construction Technician

Responsibilities

• Support pipeline construction and mechanical activities associated with pipeline maintenance
• Ship, receive, and unload materials for projects using necessary equipment
• Operate power tools including drills, grinders, and torches
• Gather MTRs for applicable project materials and perform red line reviews
• Manage inventory for coating materials and assist with ordering welding consumables
• Oversee small equipment certification logs to ensure compliance
• Catalog and complete project record binders for all projects
• Assist crew leaders with documentation, operational qualifications, and safety compliance
• Support project planners with information gathering for quotations and engineering data

Requirements

• High school diploma or equivalent
• 4+ years of work experience in a mechanical related environment
• Valid driver's license and a safe driving record
• Ability to travel up to 75% including overnight stays
• Ability to be on-call 24/7 for emergency response purposes

Preferred Qualifications

• Valid CDL license or the ability to obtain one
• Previous experience in the pipeline or construction industry
• Proficiency with computers, including experience with SAP
