About the role
Responsibilities
- Monitor cleared and un-cleared workers during designated phases of construction.
- Inspect materials, equipment, and furnishings for use within secure areas using x-ray machines, metal detectors, and other approved methods.
- Read and analyze blueprints and designs to identify structural complexities intended to mask ulterior purposes.
- Assist in the random selection of materials required for installation in secure areas.
- Maintain detailed daily logs and submit them to supervisors for accuracy and review.
- Utilize specialized tools including On-Linear Junction Detectors and visual examinations to detect clandestine technical devices.
Requirements
- Ability to obtain and maintain a Federal or DoD Top Secret/SCI security clearance.
- 3+ years of experience in security or a relevant field.
- Bachelor's degree or 4 additional years of relevant experience in lieu of a degree.
- Completion of a recognized Construction Surveillance Course (e.g., SE630).
Preferred Qualifications
- Active TS/SCI clearance or higher.
- Experience in construction security surveillance or technical surveillance countermeasures (TSCM).
- Background in industrial or government security involving counterintelligence.
- Knowledge of construction disciplines including Civil, Architectural, Mechanical, Electrical, and Electronic Engineering.
- Strong English communication skills for detailed report writing and analysis.
