Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) DIA - NCR

Responsibilities

• Monitor and document the activities of all personnel on the Surveillance Construction Site (SCS) at all times.
• Perform in-depth inspections of construction materials, tools, and equipment to ensure they are free of tampering and identify any anomalies.
• Utilize specialized technical equipment, including Non-Linear Junction Detectors, Spectrum Analyzers, and Portable X-Ray machines, for material inspections.
• Identify anomalies and variances in finished construction work compared to official project construction plans.
• Perform access control functions, including personnel and bag searches, to prevent the entry of unauthorized persons or materials.
• Execute opening and closing procedures for the SCS as directed by the Site Security Manager (SSM).
• Maintain high levels of physical fitness to perform activities such as standing, walking, bending, and kneeling for extended periods.
• Support 24/7/365 operations, with shifts and locations within the National Capital Region (NCR) subject to mission requirements.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance.
• Current CI Polygraph or willingness to undergo a CI Polygraph prior to employment.
• Minimum of five (5) years of construction or security experience.
• At least two (2) years of experience specifically related to SCIF construction or physical security.
• Valid certificate of completion for a 40-hour or greater CST Training Course.
• Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and Department of Defense (DoD) classification guidelines (ICD/ICS-705).
• Practical experience working within construction trades (e.g., electrician, plumber, carpenter).
• Ability to travel 10-25% and work at multiple sites within the NCR.
