Construction Surveillance Technician (CST) DIA - NCR

Responsibilities

• Monitor the activities of all personnel on the Site Security Control (SCS) at all times.
• Document construction activities and all security incidents that occur on the SCS.
• Perform in-depth inspections of construction materials, tools, and equipment to ensure they are free of tampering.
• Utilize specialized technical equipment, including Non-Linear Junction Detectors, Spectrum Analyzers, and Portable X-Ray machines.
• Identify anomalies and variances in finished construction work against official project plans.
• Perform access control functions, including personnel and bag searches, to prevent unauthorized entry.
• Execute daily opening and closing procedures for the SCS as directed.
• Maintain flexibility to work at multiple locations within the National Capital Region (NCR) and support 24/7/365 operations.

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI security clearance and a current CI Polygraph (or willingness to undergo one).
• Minimum of 5 years of construction or security experience.
• At least 2 years of security experience specifically related to SCIF construction or physical security.
• Valid certificate of completion for a 40-hour or greater CST Training Course.
• Knowledge of Intelligence Community (IC) and DoD classification guidelines (ICD/ICS-705).
• Ability to perform physical activities for extended periods, including standing, bending, kneeling, and walking.
• Experience working within construction trades (e.g., electrician, plumber, carpenter) is preferred.
