Construction Surveillance Technician (CST)

Responsibilities

• Monitor the activities of all personnel on the Secure Construction Site (SCS) at all times
• Document personnel activities and all security incidents occurring on the SCS
• Perform in-depth inspections of construction materials, tools, and equipment to ensure they are free of tampering
• Utilize specialized equipment including Non-Linear Junction Detectors, Spectrum Analyzers, and Portable X-Ray machines
• Use Technical Security Counter Measure (TSCM) equipment to screen materials
• Identify anomalies and variances in construction work compared to official project plans
• Perform close-in and seal-in inspections in accordance with CSP, SSM, and SSC direction
• Execute access control functions, including personnel and bag searches
• Manage daily opening and closing procedures of the SCS as directed by the SSM
• Support 24/7/365 operations as required

Requirements

• Active TS/SCI Clearance
• Minimum of five (5) years of construction or equivalent security experience
• At least two (2) years of experience directly related to SCIF construction or physical security
• Valid certificate for successful completion of a 40-hour or greater CST training course
• Knowledge of common listening devices used by foreign intelligence services
• Experience working with various construction trades
• Ability to stand, sit, bend, walk, and kneel for extended periods
