Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Supervise crews and craft workers to ensure project application and execution
• Manage productivity, safety, quality, and adherence to project schedules
• Collaborate with engineers and job teams to determine specific project needs
• Optimize the use of equipment, materials, and labor to maximize production and minimize costs
• Coordinate with superintendents and foremen to ensure smooth workflow
• Resolve employee conflicts, grievances, and scheduling difficulties
• Assist in schedule planning, including determining labor needs and material quantities
• Ensure consistent compliance with company safety, attendance, and workplace behavior standards

Requirements

• 5-10+ years of experience in the construction industry
• At least 3 years of experience in a supervisory role
• Professional knowledge of heavy civil infrastructure
• Ability to manage multiple crews across various construction scopes
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office (Word and Excel)
• High School Diploma or GED

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with marine infrastructure (ports, docks, wharves, piers, or bridges)
• Experience working with cranes
