Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Bid projects, create project planners, generate take-offs, and estimate costs
• Submit bid proposals, follow up with bidders, and review scopes
• Negotiate projects, review contracts, and generate submittals, billing, and change orders
• Monitor field operations including schedule, progress, field conditions, quality, and safety
• Work with building departments and city inspectors to manage building permits
• Manage architects, engineers, and design consultants through the development process
• Conduct quality control inspections of completed projects
• Maintain professional relationships with customers, contractors, suppliers, and colleagues

Requirements

• 5-10 years of experience managing multi-family residential and commercial construction projects and budgets
• Experience in project management and estimating
• Knowledge of commercial and residential construction, specifically multi-housing
• Ability to read and understand commercial and industrial blueprints
• Experience with contract development, including scope, pricing, and legal negotiations
• Ability to travel to project locations in the East Bay including Fremont, San Leandro, San Ramon, and San Francisco
• Strong math, analytical, and problem-solving skills
• Strong oral and written communication skills
