Construction Superintendent

Responsibilities

• Lead day-to-day site activities for higher education projects, coordinating trades, logistics, and campus interface.
• Maintain a culture of safety and quality control while meeting schedule and budget objectives.
• Serve as the primary field point of contact for clients, campus stakeholders, inspectors, and design partners.
• Plan look-ahead schedules, sequence work, and manage daily coordination with subcontractors and suppliers.
• Manage campus logistics including site access, pedestrian/traffic control, and utility shutdown planning on occupied campuses.
• Coordinate complex building systems including MEP, HVAC balancing, and fire/life safety testing.
• Administer field documentation including daily reports, RFIs, field memos, and as-built documentation.

Requirements

• BS/BA in Engineering, Construction Management, or a similar curriculum.
• 4 years of relevant construction experience or demonstrated equivalency.
• OSHA 30 certification (or ability to obtain promptly).

Preferred Qualifications

• 4+ years of superintendent experience specifically focused on higher education or complex institutional projects.
• Proven success delivering student housing, academic buildings, athletic centers, or occupied campus renovations.
• Expert knowledge of field operations, sequencing, and campus logistics (noise windows, semester constraints, etc.).
• Strong understanding of MEP systems, life safety, and commissioning for campus buildings.
• Proficiency with Procore and digital plan review tools.
