Construction Site Planner

Responsibilities

• Lead and coordinate site planning activities for EPC Oil & Gas projects to ensure alignment between construction execution and project controls.
• Develop construction schedules and prepare standard man-hour estimates based on design quantities and established WBS.
• Monitor subcontractor schedules to ensure alignment with the Level 4 Construction Schedule.
• Perform schedule control at cut-off dates and provide forecasts on completion dates to facilitate effective recovery plans.
• Assess physical progress and identify deviations from the baseline, suggesting necessary remedial actions.
• Manage manpower control by comparing actual subcontractor manpower against planned baselines.
• Prepare weekly and monthly progress reports related to site activities in accordance with project procedures.
• Collaborate with the central Project Controls team to feed site data into overall project performance metrics.
• Support Earned Value Management (EVM) by providing accurate site progress data and forecasts.
• Participate in risk reviews and mitigation planning from a site execution perspective.

Requirements

• University Degree or Diploma in a Civil discipline or equivalent.
• Minimum of 12 years of relevant experience in construction planning.
• Significant experience in the industrial construction of large or extra-large gas plants.
• Proven track record in a similar role on at least 2-3 projects of comparable scale.
• Direct experience working on the Contractor side.
• High proficiency in Primavera P6.
• Excellent communication, interpersonal, and management skills.
