Construction Safety Specialist

Responsibilities

• Champion a strong safety culture across the site and maximize personnel involvement in safety activities
• Provide high-quality technical safety support and conduct regular workplace inspections to monitor compliance
• Coordinate job safety analyses, risk assessments, and pre-task plans
• Review and track investigations of injuries, illnesses, and near-misses to identify and resolve root causes
• Lead investigations into serious adverse events and monitor safety performance trends
• Coordinate and test local business continuity, emergency response, and crisis management plans
• Prepare and submit local, state, and internal safety reports

Requirements

• Minimum 5 years of Health & Safety experience in the construction industry
• 2 years of data center construction project experience preferred
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or a related field preferred
• Proficiency in managing high-risk activities such as electrical safety, excavation, fall protection, and crane operations
• Experience conducting construction site safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
• Demonstrated ability to communicate and problem-solve with subcontractors on multi-employer worksites
• CHST or CSP certification is a plus
