About the role

Responsibilities

  • Champion a strong safety culture across the site and maximize personnel involvement in safety-related activities
  • Provide timely, high-quality safety technical support and carry out regular workplace inspections
  • Coordinate the completion of job safety analyses, risk assessments, and pre-task plans
  • Review and track investigations of injuries, illnesses, environmental releases, and near-misses to identify root causes
  • Lead investigations into serious adverse events and monitor safety performance trends
  • Coordinate local business continuity, emergency response, and crisis management plans

Requirements

  • Minimum 5 years of Health & Safety experience in the construction industry
  • Proficiency in managing high-risk activities, including electrical safety, excavation, fall protection, and crane operations
  • Experience communicating and problem-solving with subcontractors on multi-employer worksites
  • Demonstrated experience conducting construction site safety audits, inspections, and incident investigations
  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills for timely reporting

Preferred Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in safety, occupational health, engineering, or a related field
  • 2 years of data center construction project experience
  • CHST or CSP certification
  • Background working with specific trades such as electricians, ironworkers, or pipefitters
