Construction Quality Control Manager

Responsibilities

• Prepare and update the Quality Control (QC) Plan for Department of Defense construction projects.
• Implement the “Three Phases of Control” for all definable features of work.
• Perform onsite inspections to ensure compliance with contract requirements and specifications.
• Stop work that does not comply with contract plans and direct the removal or replacement of defective work.
• Prepare and submit daily quality control reports and conduct weekly CQC meetings.
• Oversee the review and approval of design and construction submittals.
• Coordinate onsite and offsite testing and maintain an accurate testing log.
• Update As-Built drawings daily and perform punch-list and pre-final inspections.
• Review invoices to ensure all work has been completed in accordance with contract requirements.

Requirements

• Bachelor's degree from a US accredited college or university in engineering, architecture, construction management, or a related field.
• Possession of a current Construction Quality Management (CQM) for Contractors certificate.
• Minimum of five (5) years of experience as a Superintendent, QC Manager, Project Manager, or Project Engineer.
• Familiarity with US Army Corps of Engineers (USACE) requirements.
• Strong knowledge of Engineer Manual 385-1-1, including hazard identification and safety compliance.
