About the role

Responsibilities

  • Lead and develop the project QA/QC function, including oversight of internal inspectors and third-party personnel
  • Review engineering drawings and specifications to identify constructability concerns and quality requirements
  • Develop project-specific Inspection & Test Plans (ITPs) and coordinate third-party special inspections
  • Contract and manage relationships with third-party special inspection agencies
  • Perform daily site walks to identify risks, discrepancies, and non-conformances
  • Perform system verifications to confirm correct installation per design specifications
  • Audit contractor and self-perform quality turnover documentation
  • Track and report on quality metrics and non-conformance trends to project leadership

Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering, construction management, or a related technical discipline
  • 8–10 years of experience in construction QA/QC or inspection
  • Experience leading or supervising QA/QC personnel
  • Current CWI certification or ability to obtain within 12 months
  • Working knowledge of ASME B31.3 and AWS D1.1
  • Ability to read and interpret civil, structural, mechanical, and piping drawings
  • Valid driver’s license

Preferred Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience in industrial or heavy commercial construction QA/QC
  • Level II NDT certifications (MT, PT, UT)
  • Experience with Autodesk Construction Cloud and CXAlloy
  • Training in construction industry code compliance (IBC, OSHA, NFPA)
