Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Act as the owner’s representative to ensure compliance with project plans, specifications, and quality standards
• Oversee contractor quality control and manage submittals, progress schedules, and communication with the owner
• Perform site observations to identify non-conforming or defective work and notify the owner
• Schedule required materials testing and inspections while monitoring project performance
• Review contractor pay applications and evaluate change proposals
• Develop detailed daily field progress reports including labor, equipment, and safety activities
• Participate in weekly Owner/Architect/Contractor meetings and issue meeting minutes
• Coordinate owner activities such as surveys, commissioning inspections, and furniture installations
• Assist in the project closeout documentation process and punch list management

Requirements

• Ability to read architectural and engineering drawings, specifications, and codes
• Working knowledge of building components, systems, materials, and construction methods
• Strong oral and written communication skills
• Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Excel, Outlook, Project, Word)
• Familiarity with Project Management Software such as Kahua, Procore, or eBuilder
• Must be a US Citizen or Green Card holder
• Ability to pass required background checks

Preferred Qualifications

• 10+ years of professional experience as a clerk of the works, resident engineer, or superintendent
• Experience working on large-scale public sector projects
• OSHA 10 and/or OSHA 30 certification
