Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Provide overall management and administration of pre-design, design, construction, and commissioning services
• Manage project cost control, schedule management, and quality assurance from design through closeout
• Ensure appropriate project authorization, funding, and jurisdictional approvals are in place
• Anticipate potential problems and identify alternative solutions to keep projects on budget and on schedule
• Lead technical discipline team members, specialty consultants, and construction inspectors
• Administer the selection process for design professionals, consultants, and contractors
• Maintain critical project information in automated project management systems and produce reports

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Architecture, Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field
• Minimum of 10 years of progressively responsible experience in construction management
• Proven experience managing multiple renovation, new construction, and high-profile capital projects over $2 Million
• Experience managing A/E consultancy services and construction administration
• Strong knowledge of design and construction management practices and national/local codes
• Ability to manage project finances, review estimates, and negotiate contract change orders
