Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and oversee all facets of assigned construction projects including pre-construction, bid, award, construction, and close-out phases
• Review pre-construction documents for alignment with LAUSD standards
• Monitor and report project status and progress to senior management
• Manage project budgets and schedules with accurate financial tracking
• Supervise contractor daily activities and review construction schedules
• Evaluate contractor substitution submittals for compliance
• Review, negotiate, and process Contractor Change Order Proposals
• Oversee contractor, architect, and engineer payments
• Administer Professional Service Agreements between architects and LAUSD
• Manage project closeout processes and ensure final certification with the Division of State Architects (DSA)

Requirements

• 10 years of professional experience in construction or project management for commercial or public/educational facilities
• 3 years of experience coordinating complex projects valued over $10 million
• Bachelor's degree in Architecture, Engineering, or Construction Management, or ability to obtain CCM within one year
• Valid Certified Construction Manager (CCM) credential or equivalent education

Preferred Qualifications

• Experience with Design-Build projects
• Proficiency in Building Information Modeling (BIM)
• Familiarity with LEED-certified projects and CHPS
• Experience with Division of the State Architect (DSA) processes
• OSHA 30 certification
• Registered Architect or Licensed Professional Engineer
