Construction Project Manager

Responsibilities

• Manage and coordinate all facets of pre-construction, bidding, construction, and close-out phases for assigned projects
• Review pre-construction documents and provide necessary feedback to designers
• Prepare and present progress reports to upper management regarding project status
• Coordinate with public agencies and District staff to ensure compliance with all off-site work requirements
• Manage project budgets and schedules to meet client standards, including monthly budget monitoring
• Negotiate Contractor Change Order Proposals and address schedule impacts in a timely manner
• Monitor payments for contractors, architects, engineers, and other pertinent parties
• Administer Professional Service Agreements between architects and the client
• Oversee project close-out, including certification with the Division of State Architects (DSA) and financial close-out

Requirements

• BA/BS degree with 4 years of relevant construction experience, OR
• AA/AS degree with 6 years of relevant construction experience, OR
• HS/GED with 8 years of relevant construction experience
• Ability to pass State and Federal criminal history/security background checks
• Ability to pass a pre-employment drug screen

Preferred Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, construction management, or a similar discipline
• Experience in commercial or public/educational facility construction with project values exceeding $30M
• Knowledge of Florida DOE regulations and Florida Statutes regarding educational facilities
• Familiarity with safety and OSHA regulations
