Responsibilities

• Conduct regular maintenance, inspections, and repairs on mobile, tower, and crawler cranes
• Diagnose faults and implement corrective measures
• Perform routine checks and scheduled maintenance to prevent breakdowns
• Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate maintenance schedules and minimise downtime
• Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and company policies
• Keep accurate records of work carried out and parts utilized
• Provide technical support and advice to the team and clients

Requirements

• NVQ Level 3 in Plant Maintenance or equivalent (HGV or Agricultural Maintenance)
• Proven experience as a Crane Fitter, Plant Mechanic, or similar role
• In-depth knowledge of hydraulic, pneumatic, and electrical systems
• Familiarity with health and safety standards
• Valid UK driving licence
• Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail

Preferred Qualifications

• CPCS Card Holder or equivalent
• Experience with specific crane brands and models
• Welding and fabrication skills
• Experience as a Plant Fitter within the hire industry or a construction plant department
