Construction Materials Testing (CMT) Lab Manager

Responsibilities

• Coordinate daily laboratory operations to meet project schedules and quality standards
• Supervise, train, and develop laboratory staff while maintaining safety standards
• Oversee testing of soils, concrete, asphalt, aggregates, and other construction materials
• Maintain laboratory equipment, including calibrations and preventative maintenance
• Ensure laboratory accreditation requirements (USACE, AMRL, CCRL) are met
• Review and approve laboratory test results and reports for accuracy
• Perform CCRL and AASTO Proficiency Sampling
• Communicate with clients, project teams, and field personnel

Requirements

• Minimum of 8 years of experience in a construction-related field
• Minimum of 5 years working in a construction materials or geotechnical laboratory
• Valid driver's license with a good driving history
• Ability to work in a constant state of alertness and in a safe manner

Preferred Qualifications

• ACI Concrete Field Grade I or Concrete Strength certifications
• ATTI Soils/Aggregate or Asphalt certifications
• OSHA 30 certification
• ACI Concrete Laboratory Level 1
• Nuclear Gauge certification
• Applicable Department of Transportation/Roads certifications
• ATTI Field certification
